More about the project...
This includes a couple of different projects that I have worked on. Furthermore, there are a couple of motion design projects for the Canucks as well as a static graphic that is a school project. So, the school project is a quote in 3 different themes using a postcard format. The Canuck’s project is the Clutch Performance series which showcases a highlight moment from a specific time in franchise history. Also, I made a content piece for Christmas where a group of players read a Christmas book and animated text would follow.
The projects are entirely my work except for the footage on the Christmas piece and the video cutting on Clutch Performance. Thus, my sole responsibility in each project is to represent the text in an efficient way.

Personal goals for the project...
Taking on this project was a big opportunity. With this in mind, it allowed me to take advantage of developing my skills in the representation of text and information. Overall, I have always been interested in typography, I constantly study videos on traditional and modern methods. Firstly, with the static project, I want to work on the placement of text and the overall design. Secondly, with the motion graphics projects I did for the Canucks I want to work on the motion of the text and how it plays a factor.
Typography Design. The science behind typography is very interesting. Being new to it at the time, I wanted to learn as much as I could. With that in mind, I was able to learn kerning, line height, letter spacing, font-weight, the amount of font families that should be used, and placement. Finally, the play of colour was also touched on. As a result, this knowledge has helped with videos, infographics, logos, and flyers.
Typography Motion. This was a huge opportunity for me. To summarize, not only am I able to learn typography on an industry level but I can learn more about it using motion. Motion is eye-catching and interactive and this allowed me to experiment and learn the principles about it. Therefore after completing multiple projects using typography, I was also able to increase my efficiency.
At the end of the day, my goals were met. Hence, I was able to complete the projects with the designs I was going for. Firstly, I was finishing at the top of the class with my static designs. Secondly, with my videos I was creating for the Canucks I was able to accumulate over 30k views between the two that I have shared. Also, over 50k views, if you count the other Clutch Performance videos.
